General Data Protection Act GDPR

The current Data Protection Act will be replaced on the 25th May 2018 with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

There are several changes under the act and you can find further information from: www.ico.org.uk

One of the areas that affects clients is regarding text messaging and email alerts. Due to the nature of our business we will continue to send text messages/emails for appointments, services (booster reminders, procedure reminders, prescription collection) as these can have a direct impact on your animal’s health and wellbeing. However, as per GDPR guidelines we will be automatically opting out all our clients for marketing text/email alerts. This can be changed by calling us at the Practice directly, emailing us or contact us via the website.

You are free to change your mind at any point – simply call the practice on 01505 690536 or inform a member of our team.

If you have more than one pet registered with us, you may get multiple messages because the system will automatically send to each registered pet. If you opt out of our text messaging/email service, all animals will be removed from notifications.
